Knee pain can be very debilitating and have a large impact on you and how you live your life. There is some great evidence that weight training can improve pain and your activity as well as your health in general of course. Knowing how to manage this safely is important and our aim is to guide you in how to manage your knee health with as little trouble as possible.

Whether you have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, or cartilage injury or other pathology, we know that there are many factors that can contribute to knee pain and that those vary greatly from person to person. Our Kneelab service provides you, your doctor and your physio or rehab team with clear measurements of which areas you need to develop to reduce your knee pain. We use state of the art, screening and testing to compile a detailed picture of how to personalise your rehabilitation. 

 

Isokinetic dynamometry, step tests, squats and a fitness test allow us to program your rehabilitation spending less money and more empowered to work in the gym close to your home. You will see the targets you need to reach, and be inspired to reach them. Some patients need the help of injection therapy, such as corticosteroid, viscosupplementation. Platelets rich plasma or stem cell’s and these are all available form specialist physicians at SSC
